Rode around a bit. Had some pics of us taken for V1. Went through Carson. Got a flat. Seven minutes later we rode towards Hallie and had some fire. Rode back. I ate shit on the way home.
Surly has a new front tire for Pugsleys (finally). It should allow for a bit more steering control with it's more rudder like tread. Perhaps I'll have to get one for my Pugsley.
Went to the Elk Lake Tavern for some tandem obstacle course racing.
Two pedal strokes in and the pressed on crank spider came off a bit. One tandem down. We did rig it up to work though.
No more shifting. Duct tape SS.
Check it. What.
GO GO GO GO! Seat would tighten. Duct tape = fixed.
Ketchup About to eat shit to avoid a telephone poll.
I got hit in the face with a wiener.
Pretty awesome time. Everyone should make an effort to attend the event next year. Everything was coming loose on the bikes. We wrecked two front wheels as well. EC Velo represent.
Smaller crew tonight. Rolled around the town up the south side. Was passed by a Corvette too close. I mean, I get it. I have a Corvette too but when I drove it I didn't pass bicycles too close. Then we went back around to Altoona. We were then informed by a lift kitted truck that we should acquire automobiles. We respectfully declined. LA Beach for beers and then back. Oh, and we raced a train.
"Having a yard sale at my house, 726 Chauncey st., EC, tommorrow starting around 8am. Lots of used bike stuff, tires, some wheels, stems, random, etc. Couple discbrake sets, crankset. Craig Manthe"
Goldsprints is an indoor bicycle racing system. Two fixed gears are affixed to rollers via fork mounts. An electronic timing system keeps track of racer progress. The data is shown on a large screen (projected or display) for spectators to watch. Progress is show with a clock face where each racer is represented by a hand of the clock.
Goldsprints is available for setup at private events. Email ecvelo@gmail.com with event details, location, time, etc to determine availability and pricing or just for any questions.
We also would be happy to accept sponsorship for an event. Any prizes you or your company would like to donate will be gladly accepted. We can put your company logo on the background for the main page of the event so it will be on the main screen during breaks.
